Burkina Resilience” Programme_June 2026

The June 2026 edition of Burkina Resilience, co-produced by the Radiodiffusion Télévision du Burkina (RTB), the national television broadcaster, and the United Nations System (UNS) in Burkina Faso, aired at 6:30 p.m. and was simultaneously streamed on RTB’s digital platforms. The programme focused on obstetric fistula, highlighting the Government of Burkina Faso’s efforts, supported by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), to prevent the condition and improve access to treatment, rehabilitation, and socioeconomic reintegration for survivors. Through field reports, survivor testimonies, and an in-studio interview with the UNFPA Representative, the programme showcased concrete results achieved through the partnership between the Government, UNFPA, and other stakeholders. The broadcast reinforced the One UN approach by demonstrating how coordinated action contributes to improving maternal health, restoring dignity to survivors, and advancing the Sustainable Development Goals, while increasing the visibility of the United Nations’ collective impact in Burkina Faso.
